Project Summary

The background of BVJ's founder, Bruce A. Bednarski, is varied and diverse and includes working as a consultant for Digital Equipment Corporation on the M3 Middleware Project, a project to develop middleware software in C++ between a master Digital Alpha Server and 32 local NT servers worldwide. The purpose of which is to deliver software and data to 13,500 client PCs and to collect, process and present to help desk personnel via an ASP/SQL Server web application both state and exception report information from those client PCs.

The Middleware System goals and objectives are to:

• replicate over 14 different applications and their data directories and subdirectories
• from a Master Server
• to over 32 world-wide local servers
• using a batch driven SynchServer and Upload Application
• so that over 13,500 clients
• running a Software Kit Catalog Application
• can pull the applications and data required to do their work.
• Upload to the local server application states and exception reports.
• Pull the state and exception reports to the Master Server
• Load the state and exception reports into a relational database
• Replicate the database to the local servers
• Provide a web-based application to access the state and exception information
