Project Summary

The background of BVJ's founder, Bruce A. Bednarski, is varied and diverse and includes working as a consultant for Digital Equipment Corporation taking on the role of chief architect and leading a team of five developers to develop the Open Data Manager Project. Bruce has additionally installed an evaluation version of ODM at Sandia Labs in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to integrate other PDM systems, at Bechtel in Mclean Virginia, to manage all the documentation for a large construction project, and at Merck in Rahway, New Jersey to develop a compound document for a New Drug Application.

Open Data Manager has been used to:

• develop simple document management models with complex review processes
• develop compound document management models like new drug application submission, or constructing a large reference manual
• integrate product data managers in a single viewable form
• manage documents on large construction projects
• prototype the development of corporate customers, offerings and obligations databases
