Project Summary

The background of BVJ's founder, Bruce A. Bednarski, is varied and diverse and includes working as a Principal Manufacturing Engineer for Wang Laboratories developing software for various projects in the Central Manufacturing Technical Organization.

In the capacity of Principal Manufacturing Engineer, Bruce supervised and trained 3-6 programmers at various times, was able to select software and computer systems, developed and implemented process control systems and software, PC to process machines via RS-232, PC to VS communications via WangNet for Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM).

The following packages were developed:

• DATACOMM - PC to VS data communications package
• MTC.LIB - Library of C routines for:
  1. menu processing
  2. password control
  3. linklists
  4. serial I/O
  5. directory management
  6. virtual graphics device interface
  7. PC database interface
• CAD/CAM/CIM/MIS database design
• PDAS - Portable Data Acquisition System via barcode readers
• WangFast - PC control of X-Y table for etch cutting, dispensing, etc.
• WSC - PC based Wave Solder Controller
• TACT - WangNet modem boards functional Test Analysis and Control software Tools
